is a privately-held, full-service mortgage banking firm licensed to provide residential mortgages across the nation. FAMC is a preferred lender for both consumers and mortgage professionals, offering a host of diverse, flexible mortgage products for clients with a variety of backgrounds and needs. Headquartered in Franklin, TN with offices and operations centers throughout the country, FAMC is an FHA Direct Endorsed, VA Automatic, a LAPP Approved, and a Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and a Ginnie Mae approved seller servicer. Since 2010, we have served as the title sponsor of the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, one of college football’s premier post-season bowl games. Our President & CEO
Dan Crockett founded Franklin American Mortgage in September of 1994 and serves as the company’s President/CEO.
Under Mr. Crockett’s leadership, the company has grown from a small brokerage operation into one of the top-15 mortgage banking companies in the nation. Prior to serving as the company’s President and CEO, Mr. Crockett was a financial planner with J.H. Shoemaker & Company, Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Crockett earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lambuth University in 1991 and is a graduate of the MBA School of Mortgage Banking. He is the Co-Chairman of the IMB Executive Council for the MBA, serves on the Board of the Housing Policy Council, and is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association. Mr. Crockett also serves on the Executive Board of the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, the Board of Directors for the Golf Club of Tennessee, and the Board of Trustees for the Tennessee Golf Foundation. In addition, Mr. Crockett was formerly on the Board of the National Mortgage Bankers Association, the Board of Directors for the Nashville Chapter of Junior Achievement, and the Board of Trustees for Belmont University. He also previously served as the Chairman for the Council on the Future of FHA.
Mr. Crockett was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year by the Nashville Business Journal and The Tennessean newspaper in 2003, and was inducted to the Nashville Entrepreneur Center Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Williamson County Impact Awards Hall of Fame in 2015.
